As the Cancer QoL project evolved, the team recognised the limitations of structured questionnaires in capturing the full spectrum of patient experiences. To address this challenge, they leveraged advanced AI and Text Analytics capabilities within Power BI to analyse free-text responses from patients. This innovation enabled the identification of previously overlooked issues, such as the lack of pre-treatment information and advice, alongside confirming existing concerns such as Anxiety and Pain. This kind of issues is now addressed via our "Open Question Survey Methodology.”
